Job: UI prototyper/designer

Plateau, a growing software company. We are looking for a team member
who has both development and design skills to be our UI
prototyper/designer .

Job Duties Include:
§ Develop high-fidelity functional prototypes supported by flat
files or other local databases that can be used for demonstrating
interaction behavior and proof-of-concept, and which can also be used
for limited-focus usability testing

§ Rapidly prototype design concepts using HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, etc.

§ Collaborate with interaction designers, business analysts and
product managers to ensure a high quality user experience

§ Collaborate with visual designers to communicate visionary
concepts and refine the user experience

§ Work closely with developers to ensure that interactive
techniques are understood and provide oversight during implementation.

Job Requirements/ Education:

§ 5+ years of professional Web development/ design experience

§ Experience designing for and implementing Web 2.0 user
experience

§ Minimum of 2 years experience coding HTML, JavaScript, CSS,
XML for Web applications, preferably Enterprise level applications or
services.

§ Strong interest in emerging tools and technologies in the
industry

§ Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills

§ Solid skills using prototyping and design tools such as
Photoshop, Omnigraffle, Visio, and Dreamweaver

§ Working knowledge of usability principles and user-centered
design techniques

§ BS/MS in Computer Science, Human Factors, or related field.

§ Online portfolio


This is not a software development position. All prototypes will be
used for design elaboration or usability testing purposes. This
position is located in Arlington, VA.
