Call for posters: World Usability Day
World Usability Day is coming on November 8, and once again events are being planned all around the world to raise awareness of usability. The Usability Professionals' Association (DC Metro Chapter), the Human Factors and Ergonomic Society (Potomac Chapter),
and the Society for Technical Communication (Washington, DC chapter) will jointly host a panel session, along with a reception and poster display, highlighting the issues and opportunities in making electronic health records usable for health care providers and patients.

We are now seeking posters for the interactive poster session to be held during the opening reception. This is your chance to:
• Show off your late-breaking results, new ideas or concepts in an informal, visual and interactive manner
• Discuss your project and gain insights from interested and knowledgeable colleagues
• Raise your profile in the DC usability community
Posters should preferably be related to both usability and health care.
How do I submit a poster?
1. Send an email to the poster session coordinator at:
secretary@upa- dc-metro. org
with your full name, affiliation, poster title, and a 100-150 word abstract. Poster descriptions will be reviewed by the UPA DC poster committee, and will be approved within a few days.
2. Register for the event online:
http://www.upa- dc-metro. org/events/ 2007/11-08- 07.htm
