We are looking for interaction designers with 3+ years experience in photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver and DHTML.

ROLE : Interaction Designer
TCS Bangalore is looking for an Interaction Designer to join the Usability group. In this position you are expected to foster and support a collaborative, innovative culture, working closely with visual designers, and technologists across all the various teams to define the user experience standards strategy, a user centered design process and develop engaging, efficient, essential interactive experiences.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify UI requirements, define project approach and author the user experience standards strategy
• Set conceptual design and product direction based on research and functional requirements including an understanding of cross-product issues and challenges
• Create and be accountable for the user interaction model, workflows, information architecture, schematics, prototypes and interface guidelines
• Work with user experience researchers to design and observe usability studies and translates the findings into design improvements
• Collaborate with visual designers to refine the interactive experience and retain a user focus
• Work hand in hand with web developers and engineers to deliver the final product
• Manage project communication and asset exchange across multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of projects

Expected Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in graphic design or related field
• At least 3 to 5 years experience as a key member of user experience team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Mastery of user-centered design process and solid interaction design skills
• Familiarity with web technologies and strong technical leadership
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus
• Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems
• Must be organized, have an eye for detail and be able to put ideas into a tangible form
• Must be process driven, demonstrate strong interaction design skills and have a solid understanding of user centered design principles and design patterns ·
• Able to develop new approaches to complex design problems and can convey ideas into tangible form ·
• Be an avid practitioner of consistency, minimalism and have a keen design sensitivity ·
• Must communicate clearly and effectively to varying audiences; have strong analytical skills; have excellent interpersonal skills; able to collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team with the ability to build consensus organized and able to act independently ·
• Works well under pressure and able to meet aggressive deadlines ·
• Must have solid understanding of web application and website design with knowledge of HTML ·
• Familiarity with the Windows and Macintosh Human Interface Guidelines a plus
